Father Ted Crilly - Dermot Morgan
Dermot Morgan tragical died in 1998, the day after filming ended.
   
Father Dougal McGuire - Ardal O'Hanlon
Ardal O'Hanlon enjoyed moderate success in the Carlton TV comedy-drama Big Bad World for ITV (channel 3). More importantly, he played the part of George Sunday (aka Thermoman) in the BBC1 prime time sit-com - My Hero, a role now enjoyed by James Dreyfus. He also stared in Ben Elton's sitcom, Blessed.
   
Father Jack Hackett - Frank Kelly
Frank Kelly went on to appear in small roles in various films and TV shows, including the 2000 film, Rat. He also featured in the 2002 drama Evelyn.
   
Mrs. Doyle - Pauline McLynn

Pauline McLynn has appeared in a wide variety of rolls,including the 2001 film Iris alongside Judy Dench, and the 2006 film Gypo. She returned in a new sit-com, called Dark Ages for ITV. Along with Pauline, it starred Phil Jupitus (Never Mind The Buzzcocks) and Alistair McGowan (Alistair McGowan's Big Impression). It was also written by Red Dwarf co-writer Rob Grant no less!

She's had much more success in the excellent comedy sketch show, TV To Go on BBC1 alongside Debra Stephenson (Bad Girls), Mina Anwar (The Thin Blue Line), Mackenzie Crook (The Office) and Hugh Dennis (Dr. Piers Crispin from My Hero)
